Partner of the Dispute Resolution and Civil Consultancy areas, Tatiana Tiberio Luz is a Ph.D candidate and holds a LL.M (2011) in Civil Procedural Law at PUC-SP, where she also obtained her Postgraduation Degree in Civil Procedural Law (2005) and her Bachelor´s Degree in Law (2001). Tatiana has large experience in the Litigation and Arbitration area, having worked for about 10 years in two of the largest and most traditional law firms in Brazil, and 5 years in the one of the largest Brazilian financial institutions. She has extensive experience with national and international clients from different sectors, such as banking and finance, agribusiness, life sciences, digital law, intellectual property, consumer, automotive industry and civil construction, among others. Focuses her practice on pre-litigation consultancy and complex national and international disputes, in matters involving banking, digital, consumer, environmental, construction, civil liability, among other matters. She acts as assistant professor of Professor Cassio Scarpinella Bueno in the subject of Civil Procedural Law in the undergraduate law course at PUC-SP. She published in 2020, in co-authorship with Professor Sérgio Shimura, Judge of the Court of Appeals of the State of São Paulo, two articles in Revista de Processo, with the titles “The extension of the res judicata to the preliminary issues to the merit of the lawsuit” and “The limits to the judge’s evidentiary powers”. She is a member of the Permanent Forum of Civil Processualists.
